Design
Ocean Harmony: A Japanese Seafood Haven
In this project, I crafted a visual mockup for a restaurant website rooted in Japan but destined for global acclaim. The goal was to convey the ambiance of a locally successful eatery expanding its allure to the western audience. Experience the essence of an established place and witness its journey from local triumph to global recognition.
Branding
UI Design
In its most fundamental form, the logo I created is a striking representation of a fish resting on a dish, adorned with subtle herbal accents. This design takes a literal approach, eloquently conveying the restaurant's focus on providing a delightful experience centered around fish cuisine. From its colors to intricate details, the logo vividly communicates the meticulous preparation and culinary mastery involved.
This image showcases the Reservation Button seamlessly integrated into these pages, emphasizing its subtle and intuitive design.
The primary objective of the website was to entice visitors with the
utmost visual appeal, aiming to make every aspect as appetizing as
possible. Our strategic focus extended beyond mere aesthetics; we
recognized the significance of influencing potential patrons by
seamlessly integrating an effortless reservation system.
Acknowledging the cultural nuances of Japan, where the visualaudienceagawa
representation of food holds paramount importance, I directed our efforts
towards enhancing the allure of the menu and restaurant. Emphasizing this
cultural aspect, I made a deliberate choice to incorporate vivid pictures,
understanding that in Japanese culinary appreciation, the visual presentation
of dishes carries a weight that resonates deeply with the audience.
I learned a lot about branding and how to create logos, as well as the elements that go into making logos symbolic, meaningful, and recognizable— all of which are key to creating something memorable. I also learned that every site exists to fulfill a goal; for this site, it was to facilitate reservations. Achieving that goal involved influencing users with photos of good food and spaces in the restaurant.
